Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and lead a primary class following IB PYP and curriculum standards.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across core subjects.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports holistic student development.
  • Use inquiry-based learning to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Regularly assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school initiatives.
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities and ensure their social and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Education or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school.
  • Knowledge and experience with inquiry-based and student-centred teaching methods.
  • Proven ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching young learners in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with the IB curriculum and PYP framework.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular activities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
