Part Time Term Time Minibus Driver - Morning and Evening Shifts Available

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Minibus Driver to support our morning and evening Haymarket shuttle service, as well as other ad-hoc journeys. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and timely transport of students, contributing to the school's mission of providing a high-quality educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the school minibus in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of students and the public
  • Ensure the Haymarket shuttle service runs to time, following the set route and stops, and maintain records of student usage
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students during all journeys
  • Report any concerns regarding student behaviour or welfare to relevant teaching staff
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and ensure the bus is clean and tidy
  • Refuel the minibuses as required and report any damage or maintenance issues immediately
  • Act as a professional ambassador for the school at all times
  • Declare any driving sanctions or convictions that may affect insurance or bus operation
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies and attend required training

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Valid UK driving licence (minimum category D)
  • Clean driving record with no disqualifications or serious sanctions
  • Experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including morning and evening shifts, 5 days a week during term time
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with vehicle maintenance or inspections
  • Flexibility to cover ad-hoc journeys during the school day
