The Opportunity:
A Modern Foreign Languages Teacher is required to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months, starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Modern Foreign Languages, focusing on French and Spanish.
- Engage students through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
- Support the delivery of a wide range of enrichment activities within the MFL department.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the MFL curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Modern Foreign Languages.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Experience in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or in interim teaching roles.
- Familiarity with enrichment activities and extracurricular programs.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
