The Opportunity:

As a Music Intern, you will support the Artistic Director and contribute to the vibrant musical life of the school. This role is ideal for a recently qualified music graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in music education and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the Artistic Director/Head of Music in daily operations
  • Supervise instrumental practice sessions and provide guidance to students
  • Manage administrative tasks and use Microsoft Excel for record-keeping
  • Support the running of rock/pop band rehearsals and other music-related activities
  • Utilize music technology for recording, sound production, and music software
  • Engage with the broader artistic community and contribute to events and performances
  • Maintain a high level of organization and communication with students and staff
  • Assist in the promotion and management of music-related school events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recent graduate in music or a related field
  • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments
  • Strong communication skills in English and French
  • Ability to work with children in a supportive and structured environment
  • Basic knowledge of music technology and software

Preferred

  • Experience with music production, recording, or sound engineering
  • Familiarity with running band rehearsals or leading music ensembles
  • Demonstrated interest in music education and teaching
  • Experience with administrative tasks and data management

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Monthly payment of CHF 1,300
  • Return travel to and from Geneva at the start and end of the contract
