The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team and inspire students from Y7 to Y13. This role offers the opportunity to teach IGCSE and A level Music, contributing to a school recognized for its high academic standards and commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music to students in Years 7 to 13, including IGCSE and A level curricula.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote musical development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including music ensembles and performances.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of achievement and mutual respect.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to enhance student learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Music at IGCSE and A level.
  • Degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience teaching the Curriculum of England and CAIE subject.
  • Strong English language proficiency.
  • Clear ICPC Check/Police Report.
  • Willingness to undergo child safeguarding checks and screening.

Preferred

  • EU passport holder.
  • Experience with international education or teaching in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven track record of value-added student progress and excellent exam results.
  • Familiarity with the HPL World Class School framework and UCL partner programmes.
