The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Music Teacher to join our team and teach Y7-13, including IGCSE and A Level Music. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives in a school known for its academic and extracurricular excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Music lessons to Y7-13 students, including IGCSE and A Level curricula.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that support student achievement and progress.
- Prepare and assess students in accordance with the school's academic standards and curriculum requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Music at IGCSE and A Level.
- Degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Strong knowledge of the Curriculum of England and CAIE subject requirements.
- Excellent English proficiency.
- Clear ICPC Check/Police Report.
- EU passport holder (preferred).
Preferred
- Experience in a British international school setting.
- Proven track record of student achievement and value-added progress.
- Experience with child safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Familiarity with UCL NPQ courses or other professional development programs.
