Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Music at KS3 and KS4 following the Eduqas examination board.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student achievement and development.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the school’s music curriculum.
- Support and lead a variety of extra-curricular music clubs and ensembles.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department to create innovative learning experiences.
- Monitor, track, and evaluate student progress, setting targets and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the overall success of the institution.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven ability to teach Music at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working within a team and collaborating with colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in music education.
- Background in performing or composing music.
- Experience with extra-curricular music activities and ensemble leadership.
- Knowledge of Trivium 21C teaching approaches.
