The Opportunity:

As a Music Teacher, you will inspire students and deliver creative, rigorous, and imaginative musical experiences. You will play a key role in shaping a vibrant curriculum and contributing to a wide range of extra-curricular music opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music at KS3 and KS4 following the Eduqas examination board.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student achievement and development.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the school’s music curriculum.
  • Support and lead a variety of extra-curricular music clubs and ensembles.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to create innovative learning experiences.
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate student progress, setting targets and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the overall success of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven ability to teach Music at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working within a team and collaborating with colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in music education.
  • Background in performing or composing music.
  • Experience with extra-curricular music activities and ensemble leadership.
  • Knowledge of Trivium 21C teaching approaches.
