The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Manager, you will lead a dynamic team in delivering high-quality early years education, with a focus on outdoor learning, safeguarding, and seamless transition to Reception. This is an exciting time to join a school that values creativity, independence, and a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursery team to ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding.
- Champion the outdoor-led ethos and ensure the EYFS curriculum is delivered effectively.
- Work closely with the Head of Pre-Prep to support the transition of children from the Early Years to Reception.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including ISI compliance, parent partnerships, and staff development.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the school’s values and mission.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and ISI compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to outdoor learning and child development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a bilingual or international educational setting.
- Background in music, French, or PE education.
- Experience in leading curriculum development and staff training.
- Familiarity with boarding school environments.
