Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0–4 in a stimulating and safe environment.
  • Support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through planned and spontaneous learning experiences.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a consistent and caring approach to each child’s needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes exploration and play.
  • Document children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance teaching and care practices.
  • Engage in planning and delivering activities that align with early years educational frameworks.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive culture that reflects the school’s values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant early years qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with young children in a caring and educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and child development.
  • Experience with inclusive practices and supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic and growing school.
