The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the early learning experiences of children aged 0 to 4 years. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, child-centred learning experiences in one of four nursery rooms (Baby, walking to 2s, 2 to 3, or pre-schoolers)
  • Provide safe, nurturing and stimulating care for children, ensuring their wellbeing, happiness and development
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that reflect the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and innovative learning environment
  • Maintain strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators
  • Support the continuous professional development of the team through training and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and school policies
  • Document children's progress and communicate regularly with parents

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified to level 2 or above in Early Childhood Education (e.g., Early Years Educator, CACHE Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working in an early years setting
  • Commitment to the Reggio Emilia approach in early childhood education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to form trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning

Preferred

  • Experience with child-led learning and creative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Previous experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to different working patterns
