The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the early learning experiences of children aged 0 to 4 years. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred learning experiences in one of four nursery rooms (Baby, walking to 2s, 2 to 3, or pre-schoolers)
- Provide safe, nurturing and stimulating care for children, ensuring their wellbeing, happiness and development
- Plan and implement engaging activities that reflect the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and innovative learning environment
- Maintain strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators
- Support the continuous professional development of the team through training and collaboration
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and school policies
- Document children's progress and communicate regularly with parents
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified to level 2 or above in Early Childhood Education (e.g., Early Years Educator, CACHE Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven experience working in an early years setting
- Commitment to the Reggio Emilia approach in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to form trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning
Preferred
- Experience with child-led learning and creative teaching methods
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Previous experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to different working patterns
