The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Art Teacher to inspire and engage students from Year 7 through to A level. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people through creative learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging art lessons that are both educational and inspiring.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop technical skills in various art forms.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work to support continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with current trends and developments in art education.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to the arts.
- Manage classroom resources and maintain a well-organized teaching space.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A PGCE with qualified teacher status.
- A strong University Art degree and a portfolio of personal artwork.
- Experience teaching art to students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
- Familiarity with teaching art at both GCSE and A level.
- Experience in developing creative and engaging lesson plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
