The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and innovative Part-Time Music Teacher 0.5 to join its team. This role offers the chance to inspire and support students in their musical development, while contributing to the delivery of an engaging and relevant curriculum for 16-19 year olds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons at A level (Eduquas) to a range of students.
  • Support the continued development and success of the Music department.
  • Engage students in a variety of activities that enhance their understanding and commitment to music.
  • Work closely with mentors and the Teaching and Learning Group to improve teaching strategies and share best practice.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of an exciting and relevant curriculum.
  • Provide a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Support students with learning needs and ensure they achieve their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Music at A level (Eduquas).
  • Commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in working with 16-19 year olds.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring early career teachers.
  • Experience with ECT induction and support programs.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular music activities.
  • Experience with safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
