The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced PE and Sports Science Teacher to join its forward-thinking team. This role involves teaching across all Key Stages and delivering high-quality lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach PE and Sports Science to students across all Key Stages, including the Prep School.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic excellence and a love of sport.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Support students in making strong progress and staying engaged in their learning.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s sporting ethos and vision.
  • Provide extracurricular opportunities that enhance the student experience.
  • Commit to weekend fixtures and occasional Sunday matches as part of the sports programme.
  • Work collaboratively with the department to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with up-to-date knowledge of the PE and Sports Science curriculum.
  • Experience teaching PE and Sports Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to deliver both practical and classroom-based lessons effectively.
  • Strong commitment to student welfare and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with extracurricular sports such as Football, Basketball, or Volleyball.
  • Experience in teaching Cambridge Technical Sport Science.
  • Experience working in a boarding environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly and commit to weekend sports fixtures.
