Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective PE lessons for girls at Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE and Sports Studies.
- Support the development of students’ physical and sporting skills through extra-curricular and competitive activities.
- Encourage a lifelong appreciation of physical activity and its benefits to health and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to professional development and evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Promote the school’s values and culture through positive role modelling and student engagement.
- Prepare and assess students in line with curriculum and examination requirements.
- Participate in staff development and school events as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching PE, ideally with a focus on girls’ PE.
- Experience teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE and Sports Studies.
- Commitment to promoting physical activity and student wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A level PE.
- Experience with extra-curricular and competitive sport.
- Experience with evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Experience with professional development and peer-coaching models.
