The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality physics lessons that engage and challenge students from diverse backgrounds
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the science curriculum and learning experiences
  • Support students through personalized tutoring and mentorship within a boarding house setting
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide student progress and learning outcomes
  • Participate in whole school initiatives and extracurricular activities that enhance student development
  • Stay up to date with innovative teaching methods and integrate technology into classroom instruction
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of Saturday morning academics and other learning challenges
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through excellent communication

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree in Physics
  • Valid teaching qualification
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience
  • Experience in delivering the UK National Curriculum and/or the IB Diploma
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and adapt curricula for student success

Preferred

  • Familiarity with the IBDP curriculum
  • Experience working in an international boarding school environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a good sense of humor
  • Experience with extracurricular and boarding house activities
  • Evidence of successful collaboration within a department and school
