The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our team and support students from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive faculty that values hard work, collaboration, and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Develop and implement a well-structured and engaging curriculum aligned with the school's RISE values.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and fostering a love for Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and provide peer support.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Science teaching.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the importance of Science education.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience teaching Physics to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
- Commitment to student achievement and a belief in the potential of all young people.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and willingness to complete ITT.
- Background in developing and sequencing curriculum content.
- Experience with combined sciences and cross-curricular teaching.
- Leadership experience or interest in taking on a mentoring role.
