The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our team and support students from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive faculty that values hard work, collaboration, and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement a well-structured and engaging curriculum aligned with the school's RISE values.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and fostering a love for Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and provide peer support.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Science teaching.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the importance of Science education.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Physics to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a belief in the potential of all young people.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and willingness to complete ITT.
  • Background in developing and sequencing curriculum content.
  • Experience with combined sciences and cross-curricular teaching.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a mentoring role.
