Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, internationally recognized curriculum.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and Japanese National Curriculum Guidelines.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence.
  • Work closely with both English and Japanese Homeroom Teachers to ensure a cohesive and immersive learning experience.
  • Promote a strong sense of community through active participation in school events and professional development.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support academic and personal development.
  • Stay current with best practices in education and continuously improve teaching methods and student outcomes.
  • Support the school’s mission of preparing students to become successful global citizens.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification and certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or IB school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme and Japanese National Curriculum Guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual or immersion education programs.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese.
  • Experience with the US Common Core curriculum.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration.
