Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, internationally recognized curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and Japanese National Curriculum Guidelines.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence.
- Work closely with both English and Japanese Homeroom Teachers to ensure a cohesive and immersive learning experience.
- Promote a strong sense of community through active participation in school events and professional development.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support academic and personal development.
- Stay current with best practices in education and continuously improve teaching methods and student outcomes.
- Support the school’s mission of preparing students to become successful global citizens.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Valid teaching qualification and certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or IB school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme and Japanese National Curriculum Guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with bilingual or immersion education programs.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese.
- Experience with the US Common Core curriculum.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration.
