The Opportunity:

As a Primary SENCo, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualized attention and resources they need to succeed. This is a vital position that contributes directly to the well-being and academic success of students across the primary phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate SEN provision across the primary school
• Identify and support students with additional learning needs
• Advise teaching staff on inclusive teaching strategies
• Develop and review individual education plans (IEPs)
• Liaise with parents and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN strategies and interventions
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive practices across the school
• Provide professional development and guidance to staff on SEN-related matters

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• SENCo qualification or relevant experience
• Experience working in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and special educational needs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and external professionals

Preferred

• International teaching experience
• Experience with British curriculum or international GCSEs
• Familiarity with differentiated learning strategies
• Experience in a multicultural and international environment
