Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach small, focused classes, adapting lessons to meet each pupil’s unique learning style and needs.
  • Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences that encourage curiosity and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and pastoral colleagues.
  • Nurture pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and personal development holistically.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment where every child feels valued.
  • Support pupils in developing essential life skills and independence.
  • Encourage pupil participation and ownership of their learning journey.
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A creative, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional or complex needs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to raising outcomes and celebrating progress at every stage

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Experience in developing and delivering differentiated curriculum content
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support
