Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative and engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills, including the use of DFE-recognised phonics programmes and the CPA approach.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school by leading and participating in extra-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Stay up to date with educational research and best practices in primary education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified to teach in Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, or both.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching the UK National Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of early years literacy and numeracy development.
- Experience with DFE-recognised phonics programmes and early maths mastery using the CPA approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting.
- Leadership experience in extra-curricular activities.
- Familiarity with Cambridge International and Pearson Examinations.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
