The Opportunity:
A Primary Teacher is needed on a fixed-term basis to cover a long-term sickness absence. The role involves delivering a broad international curriculum across a range of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and humanities, while upholding the school's ethos and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons across a range of primary subjects including English, mathematics, science, and humanities.
- Adapt teaching practices based on research-informed approaches to enhance student learning and outcomes.
- Use a variety of assessment strategies to evaluate learning and inform next steps.
- Attend parent-teacher conferences, meetings, and contribute to student reports as required.
- Support students in a positive learning environment and act as a role model and ambassador for the school.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other school stakeholders.
- Cover classes in the absence of other staff members as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 3+ years of teaching experience with students aged 5–10.
- University degree and certified teaching status.
- Strong understanding of primary education and a range of subject areas.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Proficiency in French.
- Experience with ICT in teaching.
- Knowledge of international curricula such as IGCSE or IB.
- Experience in a multilingual and international school environment.
