Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of school operations with strategic clarity and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a vision for the school that reflects the school’s values and mission.
  • Foster a culture of high aspirations, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all students have access to opportunity.
  • Support and develop staff through effective performance management, professional growth, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Education Trust to align school improvement strategies with the Trust’s mission and goals.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider community to enhance engagement and support.
  • Ensure the school maintains high standards in teaching and learning, with a focus on student achievement and well-being.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to support the school’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Substantial experience in school leadership, including roles such as Vice Principal or Deputy Headteacher.
  • A proven record of raising standards and driving sustained improvement in school performance.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and equity, with experience supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Holding an NPQSL or equivalent qualification and a reflective approach to leadership.
  • Deep understanding of school improvement strategies and the ability to lead through change effectively.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, manage performance, and develop talent.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading school improvement projects or working within a multi-academy trust.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and foster positive relationships.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation, particularly in the arts and performing arts.
  • A track record of successful collaboration with external stakeholders and community engagement.
