As a PYP Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum that prepares students for future academic success. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing school and make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach small class sizes using personalised approaches and inquiry-based learning
  • Deliver engaging instruction across subjects including Literacy, Maths, Sciences, and Arts
  • Plan and implement transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with IB principles
  • Support English language learners through differentiated instruction
  • Promote student well-being and academic achievement through co-curricular engagement
  • Collaborate with the PYP team and coordinator to develop and implement the new programme
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and IB training
  • Contribute to the planning of class visits and outdoor learning experiences in a forest environment
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and student well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
  • Experience teaching at the Primary level
  • Understanding of, or willingness to develop in, IB teaching approaches
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in English with strong communication skills

Preferred

  • Proficiency in French
  • Experience in communicating with families
  • Adaptability for working within a new and evolving programme
  • Experience with technology-enhanced learning
  • Understanding of multicultural environments
