Key Responsibilities:
- Teach small class sizes using personalised approaches and inquiry-based learning
- Deliver engaging instruction across subjects including Literacy, Maths, Sciences, and Arts
- Plan and implement transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with IB principles
- Support English language learners through differentiated instruction
- Promote student well-being and academic achievement through co-curricular engagement
- Collaborate with the PYP team and coordinator to develop and implement the new programme
- Participate in ongoing professional development and IB training
- Contribute to the planning of class visits and outdoor learning experiences in a forest environment
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and student well-being
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
- Experience teaching at the Primary level
- Understanding of, or willingness to develop in, IB teaching approaches
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English with strong communication skills
Preferred
- Proficiency in French
- Experience in communicating with families
- Adaptability for working within a new and evolving programme
- Experience with technology-enhanced learning
- Understanding of multicultural environments
