The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PYP Teacher to join our Primary School on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB PYP framework and to make a meaningful impact on student development in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Support students’ academic, social and emotional development
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
- Contribute to collaborative planning and transdisciplinary units of inquiry
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain strong communication with parents and colleagues
- Participate in school events, trips and wider community initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within a Primary or Early Years setting
- A strong understanding of inquiry-based learning
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching
- Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Preferred
- Experience teaching within the IB PYP
- Experience in an international school environment
- Strong understanding of formative assessment practices
- Ability to contribute to wider school life and enrichment activities
- Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
