The Opportunity:
As a Reception Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception service. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the school office and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a courteous and welcoming reception service to all visitors and stakeholders.
- Collate and record pupil attendance on a daily basis and produce fortnightly reports.
- Support the planning and development of the school office service.
- Manage a range of clerical and administrative duties efficiently.
- Use IT systems confidently to support daily operations.
- Maintain high standards of organisation and customer care in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with the coordination of school events and communications.
- Ensure all front office procedures are followed consistently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and proficient use of IT systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in a reception or administrative role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Preferred
- Experience in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of school administration processes.
- Experience with attendance tracking systems.
- Flexibility to work across term time and occasional school events.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary of £14,018 (inclusive of holiday pay).
- Fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026.
- Working hours: 25.5 hours per week, term time plus 10 days.
