The Opportunity:

As a Reception Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception service. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the school office and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a courteous and welcoming reception service to all visitors and stakeholders.
  • Collate and record pupil attendance on a daily basis and produce fortnightly reports.
  • Support the planning and development of the school office service.
  • Manage a range of clerical and administrative duties efficiently.
  • Use IT systems confidently to support daily operations.
  • Maintain high standards of organisation and customer care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with the coordination of school events and communications.
  • Ensure all front office procedures are followed consistently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and proficient use of IT systems.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in a reception or administrative role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of school administration processes.
  • Experience with attendance tracking systems.
  • Flexibility to work across term time and occasional school events.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of £14,018 (inclusive of holiday pay).
  • Fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026.
  • Working hours: 25.5 hours per week, term time plus 10 days.
