The Opportunity:

As a PE Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of PE, Games, and co-curricular sport across the school. This is an excellent opportunity to develop coaching and leadership skills, while contributing to the sporting lives of students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of PE and Games lessons across all year groups
  • Assist with coaching and managing sports teams in a variety of disciplines including rugby, hockey, netball, and cricket
  • Help organise and manage fixtures, tournaments, and sporting events
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through additional sporting activities
  • Work closely with experienced staff to deliver a high-quality sports programme
  • Assist with the development of students' physical, social, and leadership skills
  • Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture
  • Support the planning and delivery of strength and conditioning sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Currently studying or recently graduated from a relevant degree programme (e.g., Physical Education, Sports Science, Coaching)
  • Strong enthusiasm and commitment to sport and physical education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to working term-time only (35 weeks per year)

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching or playing rugby, hockey, netball, or cricket
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of sports development or physical education theory
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

Compensation & Benefits:
