The Opportunity:

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for parents, carers, and visitors, ensuring smooth communication and efficient office operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the school’s positive reputation and supporting the smooth running of the academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and correspondence with parents, carers, and visitors.
  • Welcome and direct visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with general office duties and administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure information flows are effective.
  • Support the school’s administrative team in ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Assist with event coordination and other school-related activities when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems).
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of service.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or school environment.
  • Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
  • Experience with managing a high volume of calls and correspondence.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours when required.
