The Opportunity:

As a Room Leader - Baby Room, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, development, and happiness of young children in the Baby Room. This is an opportunity to lead with passion, creativity, and professionalism in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Baby Room team, ensuring a high standard of care and development for children aged 3 months to 2 years.
  • Develop and implement daily routines, activities, and learning opportunities tailored to the needs of young children.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and growth.
  • Work closely with parents and other staff members to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress regularly, providing feedback to parents and the wider team.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Support the smooth running of the nursery, including staff rotas and training.
  • Collaborate with other room leaders to share best practices and maintain consistent care across the nursery.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 in Early Years Education and Care).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early years development and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a team of nursery staff.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Experience in a nursery rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
  • Knowledge of child protection screening processes.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
