School Development Manager needed to lead fundraising and alumni relations at a leading British school in Oman.

The Opportunity:
As a School Development Manager, you will lead the school’s fundraising and alumni relations initiatives to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the school. This role is essential in building strong relationships with alumni, managing philanthropy, and securing external investment that enhances the school’s facilities, bursary programs, and educational innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the school’s fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the school’s alumni community.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase philanthropic giving and external investment.
- Coordinate with the Director of Communications to align development efforts with the school’s strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of giving and engagement that supports the school’s mission and vision.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Organize and oversee events that promote the school and encourage community involvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations on fundraising activities and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree qualified.
- Proven experience in fundraising or development roles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in managing donor relationships and fundraising campaigns.
Preferred
- Experience in the education sector, particularly in international schools.
- Knowledge of alumni engagement and donor management systems.
- Experience with fundraising in the Middle East or similar regions.
- Strong understanding of educational philanthropy and institutional development.
