Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative Science curriculum and resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support where needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of Science teaching and learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
- Support students in making informed choices about their GCSE and A-Level Science pathways.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree and QTS.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Strong knowledge of Science curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
Preferred
- Specialism in Physics.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience with KS4 Combined Science and Triple Science pathways.
- Experience in mentoring or leading other teachers.
- Familiarity with OCR National and BTEC qualifications.
