Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons that challenge and motivate students.
- Support the development of students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding across all key stages.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and improve outcomes for all learners.
- Participate in the planning, delivery, and assessment of Science curriculum across the school.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to the school's Catholic ethos and values.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or taking on a Head of Subject role.
- Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staff training.
- Familiarity with the Kent Rewards Scheme and other staff benefits.
- Experience in promoting student wellbeing and behaviour management.
