The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for GCSE Science.
  • Utilize modern teaching technologies and online resources to enhance student learning.
  • Support students in developing self-directed learning skills and taking ownership of their educational journey.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators across the UK and globally to share best practices and innovations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through the school’s Teacher Academy and scheduled training sessions.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Stay up to date with exam specifications and ensure lessons meet the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with students to ensure they achieve their full potential and prepare for GCSE assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree or similar qualifications in a relevant subject area.
  • Recent experience teaching students in Key Stage 5 (KS5).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for GCSE Science, including exam specifications.
  • Ability to move away from traditional classroom teaching methods and embrace modern, technology-driven approaches.

Preferred

  • Experience with online teaching platforms and Zoom Teaching.
  • Familiarity with self-directed learning frameworks and pedagogical innovations.
  • Experience working in a global or international school setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for science education and inspiring student engagement.
