The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Secondary Business & Economics Teacher to join its dynamic secondary team. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on A Level provision. This is an opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 3–5.
  • Prepare students effectively for public examinations, including A Levels and GCSEs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment within the department.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic achievement.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school community, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience.
  • Stay up to date with subject developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Support students of varying abilities through differentiated instruction and individualized learning strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, with strong academic credentials.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence.
  • The ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of varying abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Business Studies and/or Economics.
  • Evidence of postgraduate study.
  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
