The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Design and Technology Curriculum Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the curriculum and delivering high-quality education to students across the secondary age range. This is a unique opportunity to lead and inspire in a school that values innovation and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Design and Technology curriculum aligned with international standards.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction across the secondary age range, including (I)GCSE and IB examination classes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the department.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring alignment with curriculum goals and learning outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and integrate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Represent the school at relevant conferences, events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the school’s educational vision is realized.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree and PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level.
  • Strong leadership and curriculum development skills.
  • Experience in an international or IB environment is highly beneficial.
  • Eligibility to work in France, with valid French working papers or EU nationality.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or curriculum team.
  • Familiarity with (I)GCSE and IB assessment frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in student achievement and academic outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with cross-cultural collaboration and international education.
