The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Secondary English and French Teacher to join our growing school. This role will involve delivering high-quality instruction in both subjects, contributing to curriculum development, and fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create an inspiring and caring learning environment that supports student growth and academic success.
  • Teach French and English to secondary students, delivering structured and engaging lessons aligned with curriculum expectations.
  • Ensure continuity with the secondary curriculum and incorporate interdisciplinary approaches in daily teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress, and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and school activities, and actively participate in school events and extra-curricular programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of professionalism and commitment to student well-being and academic excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area with strong subject knowledge in both English and French.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., M.Ed., iPGCE, QTS/iQTS).
  • At least two years of full-time classroom teaching experience in the mainstream education sector.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining and improving the high standards of teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum, ideally within an international educational setting.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Willingness to engage in academic enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
