Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons to Secondary students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s curriculum and teaching methods.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of the English department.
- Support students in preparing for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Stay updated with current educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proficient level of English (native speaker or C2/C1 level).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, ideally English or a related field.
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification, or a recognised Spanish teaching qualification (Master’s level).
- Experience in teaching English Language and Literature in the British system at IGCSE.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching English Literature at A Level.
- Experience teaching Drama, Media Studies or Humanities.
- Experience of leading a department.
