The Opportunity:

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored learning experiences for students with complex needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned to the Semi-Formal curriculum
  • Develop tailored learning resources that meet pupils’ individual needs and EHCP outcomes
  • Create a structured, stimulating classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence
  • Monitor progress and wellbeing, adapting provision to ensure meaningful outcomes
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, consistent provision
  • Contribute to the development of effective practice for pupils with autism and complex needs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or working towards
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEN, including ASC and complex learning needs
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils through patience, empathy and consistency

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with autism and complex needs
  • Experience with the Semi-Formal curriculum
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in developing individualised learning plans
