The Opportunity:

As a SEND Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the SEND department, playing a key role in ensuring effective student support and communication. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and contribute to a supportive, inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the SEND department, including arranging meetings and planning diaries.
  • Liaise with students, parents, colleagues, and external agencies to offer advice and guidance.
  • Prepare documents for SEND-related events and meetings.
  • Support the SENDCo in delivering provision from an administrative perspective.
  • Triage and deliver first aid as required, with a commitment to maintaining a formal First Aid qualification.
  • Use Microsoft Office and Google Suite effectively to manage administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and approachable manner in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills with proven competence in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound judgements.
  • Commitment to undertaking and maintaining a First Aid qualification.
  • Understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding (training provided).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including term time and two additional weeks.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational environment.
  • Experience with SIMS or other digital platforms.
  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to inclusive education.
