The Opportunity:
As a SEND Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the SEND department, playing a key role in ensuring effective student support and communication. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the SEND department, including arranging meetings and planning diaries.
- Liaise with students, parents, colleagues, and external agencies to offer advice and guidance.
- Prepare documents for SEND-related events and meetings.
- Support the SENDCo in delivering provision from an administrative perspective.
- Triage and deliver first aid as required, with a commitment to maintaining a formal First Aid qualification.
- Use Microsoft Office and Google Suite effectively to manage administrative tasks.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and approachable manner in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills with proven competence in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound judgements.
- Commitment to undertaking and maintaining a First Aid qualification.
- Understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding (training provided).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including term time and two additional weeks.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational environment.
- Experience with SIMS or other digital platforms.
- Passion for working with young people and a commitment to inclusive education.
