The Opportunity:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of students with autism and complex needs. You will deliver creative, tailored lessons that support academic and personal development, while fostering a classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualised lessons that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Create inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote student wellbeing and academic success
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that inspire curiosity and confidence
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress and development
  • Track and report on student progress, ensuring both academic and personal goals are met
  • Support the development of a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered
  • Work closely with families and professionals to ensure holistic student support
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the school's curriculum and teaching approaches

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with children with autism and complex needs
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching
  • Experience in creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering individualised learning plans
  • Background in special education or autism-specific teaching methods
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
