The Opportunity:
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of students with autism and complex needs. You will deliver creative, tailored lessons that support academic and personal development, while fostering a classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualised lessons that meet the unique needs of each student
- Create inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote student wellbeing and academic success
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that inspire curiosity and confidence
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress and development
- Track and report on student progress, ensuring both academic and personal goals are met
- Support the development of a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered
- Work closely with families and professionals to ensure holistic student support
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the school's curriculum and teaching approaches
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience working with children with autism and complex needs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
- A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching
- Experience in creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering individualised learning plans
- Background in special education or autism-specific teaching methods
- Experience with curriculum design and implementation
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
