The Opportunity:
As a SEND Teacher - Specialist Resource Provision, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, specialist teaching for students within the Communication and Interaction Specialist Resource Provision. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, specialist teaching to students within the Communication and Interaction Specialist Resource Provision.
- Develop and implement individual education plans that support the needs of students with special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with other staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to colleagues and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
- Support students across both schools to ensure they are safe, happy, and make excellent progress.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school’s SEND provision and strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant SEND experience.
- Experience in working with students with Communication and Interaction needs.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
Preferred
- Experience in a Specialist Resource Provision setting.
- Experience with behaviour for learning strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development for SEND students.
- Familiarity with assessment and monitoring tools for SEND students.
