The Opportunity:
As a Senior Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum), you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping the school’s curriculum, teaching, and inclusion strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic development and implementation of the school curriculum, including teaching, achievement, and inclusion.
- Lead and support the delivery of a comprehensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all learners, including those with special educational needs, achieve their full potential.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and professional growth among staff.
- Ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values in all areas of curriculum delivery.
- Support the development of policies and practices that foster inclusion and equity.
- Engage with the wider Trust to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Deputy or Assistant Headteacher.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of improving standards.
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
- Experience in managing and supporting staff professional development.
- Commitment to inclusion and special educational needs (SEND) provision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across the Trust.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a CPD programme.
- Familiarity with the new Ofsted framework.
- Experience in a school rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
- Background in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience in developing and leading curriculum innovation.
