The Opportunity:

As a Senior Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of a high-achieving institution. This is a key position within the Senior Management Team, offering the chance to influence the future direction of a school that consistently delivers exceptional outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of whole-school policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage the professional development of staff, including mentorship and training programs.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of quality assurance processes across all departments.
  • Provide safeguarding oversight and ensure the school maintains the highest standards in student welfare.
  • Collaborate with other schools within the Thomas Telford Multi Academy Trust to support educational outcomes.
  • Contribute to the long-term vision and success of the school through strategic planning and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong track record in raising student achievement and driving academic success.
  • Relevant qualifications in education leadership or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing and leading professional staff teams.
  • Ability to deputise effectively for the Headteacher when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in school improvement and strategic development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and pastoral care policies.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational structure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
