The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Singing Teacher to join our vibrant music department. This role involves leading singing groups, choirs, and supporting pop and rock bands. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the vocal department and inspire young musicians aged 6-13.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop singing groups and choirs.
- Support the growth of pop and rock bands.
- Coach pupils for concert performances and music exams.
- Assist with applications for Music Scholarships to Senior Schools.
- Adapt teaching styles to suit individual pupils.
- Accompany pupils during rehearsals and performances.
- Collaborate with the Music Department and wider teaching staff.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children in all activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong foundation in vocal technique and relevant qualifications.
- Experience teaching children aged 6-13.
- Ability to lead and develop music groups.
- Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to child welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Performing experience in choirs.
- Experience coaching pupils for concert performances.
- Flexibility to work part-time, term time only.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a team environment.
