The Opportunity:
A Spanish Teacher Assistant is needed to support the Modern Foreign Language Department in helping students improve their language skills. This role offers the chance to work with students at both GCSE and A-Level, and to contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons to individual students, small groups, and classes.
- Assist with planning and delivering small classes focused on language development.
- Conduct speaking assessments and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in foreign language events and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and materials.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and other teachers.
- Promote an understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures and customs.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent command of English and fluency in Spanish (written and spoken).
- Confidence and self-motivation with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of Spanish-speaking cultures and customs.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or assisting in a classroom environment.
- Familiarity with GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements.
- Experience with assessment and feedback techniques.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
