The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our committed and collaborative Humanities/MFL team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement, while working in a school that values teacher development and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that inspire and engage students at both KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities/MFL team to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students in line with the school's RISE values.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience in Spanish at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish.
  • Commitment to the school's RISE values: Respect, Independence, Service to Community, and Empathy.
  • Experience in delivering both KS3 and KS4 Spanish curricula.

Preferred

  • Experience with Edexcel qualifications.
  • Experience in developing and leading professional development sessions.
