The Opportunity:

As a Special Needs Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering Restorative Education to vulnerable children. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of students. This role is ideal for passionate educators who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of special needs students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that learning objectives are challenging and aspirational.
  • Collaborate with lead teachers and headteachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning, engagement, and personal growth.
  • Regularly review and adjust teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of students.
  • Support students in developing literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education or a Bachelor's Degree (minimum 2:2)
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to a personal vehicle
  • Extensive experience working with Ofsted

Preferred

  • Experience working with vulnerable children
  • Experience in special needs education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours
