Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across all year groups, including GCSE and A Level courses.
- Develop and implement detailed schemes of work that support student learning and achievement.
- Participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme, including events, competitions, and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning.
- Support students through pastoral care and house tutoring responsibilities.
- Utilise modern teaching facilities, including interactive SMART boards and visualisers.
- Engage in continuous professional development opportunities both internally and externally.
- Contribute to the school’s academic and co-curricular success through active involvement in the community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong academic background and a passion for the subject.
- Ability to teach across all year groups and A Level courses.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- Willingness to take on house tutor and extra-curricular responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA and Edexcel specifications.
- Background in teaching both Language and Literature courses.
- Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
