The Opportunity:
A Sports Coach Graduate will play a key role in supporting the school's academic and pastoral functions while gaining hands-on experience in sports and student welfare. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to develop their coaching and teaching skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of PE and swimming lessons.
- Coach students during afternoon sessions and after-school clubs.
- Support the Sport Scholars’ strength and conditioning programme.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of boarding pupils.
- Participate in leave-weekend activities and boarding house management.
- Engage in safeguarding and welfare processes to ensure student safety.
- Support the development of students’ physical and social skills through sports.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant graduate degree.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and take initiative.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching or teaching.
- Knowledge of sports and fitness.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support.
- Willingness to pursue further qualifications, such as a PGCE.
