The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will help students access learning and develop confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in and out of the classroom with tailored learning assistance
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Assist in developing strategies to support students with additional needs
  • Promote a positive and engaging atmosphere for all learners
  • Collaborate on lesson planning and classroom activities
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Previous experience in education or learning support
  • Familiarity with SEND support strategies
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate or similar curricula
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
