The Opportunity:
As a Swimming Teacher, you will deliver high-quality swimming lessons to students of all ages, with a focus on children aged 3–15. You will create a safe and motivating atmosphere that encourages progress and enjoyment in the water, while following the Swim England Learn to Swim framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured swimming lessons to students of all abilities.
- Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes confidence and skill development.
- Track student progress using the school’s poolside tablet and app.
- Work with small groups to ensure individual attention and support.
- Ensure lessons run smoothly and on time, maintaining a consistent schedule.
- Collaborate with other staff to support the overall swimming program.
- Stay up to date with the latest teaching methods and swimming techniques.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold an SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification.
- Experience working with children aged 3–15.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Tuesdays and Fridays in the evenings.
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for every swimmer.
Preferred
- Experience with the Swim England Learn to Swim framework.
- Previous experience teaching swimming in a school or similar setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Passion for promoting water safety and aquatic education.
